These times call for radical leadership rooted in love
Many of us ache to contribute our deepest gifts in service of more equitable, compassionate, and regenerative systems. We know things can’t continue as they are, but the way forward is rarely clear.
When we finally bring our most essential gifts forward, it often feels vulnerable, risky, and outright counter cultural… and nothing like what we’ve been taught leadership looks like! There are many forces - internal and external - working against us.
My name is Emilie Gettliffe, and as a Leadership Coach, Trainer, and Facilitator, I guide leaders, teams and organizations in activating their greatest powers for good, in order to achieve the true impact they are capable of.
Themes central to my work…
Inner work for outer impact. When we courageously address the inner barriers that limit our effectiveness, a virtuous cycle of personal and organizational transformation is possible, in service of amplifying impact.
Cross-cultural depth. I build understanding and belonging across racial, cultural, gender, and geographic divides. I use my voice and facilitative skills to increase justice, diversity, equity, inclusion and anti-racism.
Grounded action. Important decisions involve uncertainty and ambiguity. My work builds leaders’ confidence in their inner wisdom while tapping into the wealth of guidance around them to move into right action.
Compassion for complexity. We can never fully understand the complex systems we are part of. Yet, we are called to embrace learning, humility and grace as we work for a more just and life-giving future.
Radical optimism. Grief and despair are natural given the state of the world. But what is possible when we hold the potential for transformation just as fiercely? I help leaders chart a path toward purpose and vision while cultivating presence and acceptance for the world (and themselves) as is.
